Look, we've come here for many years, but since around 2020 the portions of meat relative to veggie has been awful. All for supporting small business in the area, but 3rd times the charm. After multiple trips each chicken dish is overwhelmed by vegetables and has a complete lack of protein/meat. Not acceptable. I understand having to adjust prices given recent events, but the amount of meat should reflect that fairly. Pass
Every sauce on every dish was sweeter instead of savory. Egg rolls were spongy. Egg foo young was really spongy. Empress chicken is supposed to be spicy and it was sweet. Beef fried rice had a funky and oily taste. Not good at all. Sizzling 3 delight had two shrimp in it.
Asked for chicken in garlic sauce and it was more celery than chicken. We also got rice noodle and they tasted burned. Wonton soup and eggroll were Fine.
The kids loved the sweet and sour chicken. My entree was good as well- not fantastic but good. The restaurant has new carpet but otherwise looks tired. There was a single guy working the take out orders (which was busy for a Monday) and the dining room and he managed quite well, still providing decent service. It is priced perfectly for what you get, in my opinion.
Been going to this restaurant for quite some time, to support local businesses other than the big chains. We will not be going back. In the last 6 orders we have some issues on three of them, thought it could have been an off day. Well today ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken along wit Beef with Green Peppers and Tomato. The chicken was far from crunchy, it was so soft and tasteless. The beef had vegetables that were well done close to being on the burnt side. In fairness they offer to get another order, should have been correct the 1st time. I will not be going back and treating good customers like this will not keep them in business very long. There are a lot more Chinese restaurants in the area that will be getting my business going forward.
Star ratings. 1 bad. 2 below average. 3 average / neutral. 4 good. 5 excellent. Standard local Chinese restaurant. I've ate here multiple times over a couple decades. Consistent. I've never had anything bad. Nothing amazing but all decent. The lunch specials are a fantastic deal. Service is good. Old owner sold to one of the employees and place honestly never skipped a beat. Only thing is it's not really an eat in place anymore so they've never updated the inside so it's like stepping back into time.
Can't beat the $8.80 lunch of soup, spring roll, sesame chicken, fried rice and hot tea!! Lots of food. Nice lunch.
I was craving for beef fried rice and finally found this place where it was so good. We ordered one serving and it was a lot for one person to finish so it was that much better. I guess the place could get a bit more lighting but overall the window seats were the best.. Loved it.... Can't wait to eat more next time... And the guy who was there today at noon was super polite and helpful.... Thank you so much
